Wellness Policy

We ask for your help in keeping all the members of our community healthy by following these protocols. Your vigilance and adherence to this health policy is extremely important. Please err on the side of caution and take advantage of our generous make-up policy. Stay home if you think there is any chance you or your child is sick, including but not limited to recent fevers, coughing, vomiting, or diarrhea. 

Before you arrive please do a quick health assessment and stay home if you or anyone living in your home is showing symptoms of illness.

An inherent risk of exposure to illness exists in any public place where people are present. By attending Family Rhythms, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to illness.

Family Rhythms Membership

Membership for Music Together^® & Rhythm Kids^® is billed on the first of each month. Your family’s primary weekly class time and teacher are intended to remain consistent throughout the year, as available. We are happy to accommodate requests to change your schedule—just send us a message. 

In addition to 42 weekly classes each year and opportunities to attend unlimited Bonus Classes each week, membership includes access to our community playspaces, recordings and materials for home use, discounts on birthday parties and other classes we offer, and a family newsletter filled with resources and music-making ideas. Monthly membership cost remains the same throughout the year, regardless of how many classes are scheduled. In the case of severe weather, classes are usually canceled if Vancouver Public Schools/Camas School District announces a snow day, though we make every effort to meet whenever it is safe to do so.

To cancel membership, 30 days written notice is required. All membership cancellations take effect on the final day of a calendar month and are billed through the final month of enrollment. Membership is not prorated for missed classes, vacations, or scheduled weeks off.

Music Together^® Expectations

Your active participation, regardless of how you feel about your musical ability, helps create a rich musical experience for all of the children and grownups in the room. You can support our music-making environment by keeping conversation with other adults to a minimum during the gathering. It can be hard for young children, and for the teacher, to stay tuned in when adult side conversations are happening, so we encourage socializing before or after the gathering.

Please arrive on time or a few minutes early so we can welcome you into the circle and sing hello together.

Shoes and belongings may be left at the back of the room. Nursing and bottle feeding are always welcome in the circle. If your child need a snack during class, please step out of the circle so we can keep it clean and safe for everyone.

We promise, the fun is still coming! Before you jump in, we need you to read through a few important details and give us your official grown-up signature. Thanks for taking a minute to cross the t’s and dot the i’s!

THIS IS A RELEASE OF LIABILITY. READ BEFORE SIGNING.

I understand and acknowledge that inherent risks and hazards may be present by participating in all activities and overall use of facilities at Family Rhythms, located at 705 Grand Blvd. Vancouver, WA 98661 and 2311 SW 6th Ave. Camas, WA 98607, as well as its offsite classes and events.
Such risks, for example, but without limitation, may include: illness, risk of loss, property damage, collisions with other visitors/customers, slipping, tripping, falling, bodily injury or harm, permanent disability, paralysis and death.  I assume full responsibility for all risks that may arise from using the facilities or participating in activities at and with Family Rhythms. 
On the behalf of the myself and any participant(s) under my care, that enter Family Rhythms and its events, as well as their executors, heirs, and successors do hereby acknowledge, understand and agree to the following:
Responsible for Minor Participant – I hereby certify that I am the parent, caretaker, legal guardian or responsible party of the participant who enters the premises with me and I have authority to waive rights on behalf of the minor participant. Unless a child is signed in to a drop-off class, I understand that teachers at Family Rhythms, are not responsible for participants and it is the responsibility of the undersigned individual to supervise any minors they bring into the Family Rhythms facility.

Health Statement – Both myself and the minor children with me, utilizing Family Rhythms have no illness or condition that will affect the health or safety of other guests.

Liability for Injury – Family Rhythms is not liable for any injury while at the facility. I understand that I am solely responsible for any medical, health, or personal injury costs related to my or my minor child/(ren)’s use of Family Rhythms.

Photo Release – I approve the use of any pictures that may be taken at Family Rhythms in which myself and/or the minor(s)/child(ren) in my care are a part of, to be used on any Family Rhythms social media, website, print media or marketing advertisements.

Payment for Damages – I agree to pay for any and all damages to any property or equipment as a result of my or my minor child(ren)’s willful actions, neglect, or recklessness and agree to be held liable for all such costs associated with such damages.

Arbitration – All parties to this agreement agree to mediate, in good faith, any dispute prior to arbitration or litigation based on the laws of the state of Washington.

Release, Indemnify, and Defend – I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Family Rhythms and all employees and contractors, past or present, from any claims, suits, liabilities, judgments, costs, and expenses for any property damage, loss or theft, personal injury or illness, death, or other loss arising from the use of Family Rhythms.

I hereby certify that I have read and understand this entire agreement and agree to and accept its terms and conditions. By checking the box and enrolling in classes, I acknowledge that I am agreeing to this waiver and doing so freely and voluntarily on behalf of myself and any minor child(ren) for whom I am the parent, legal guardian, or otherwise responsible.
