Each week in Music Together® at Family Rhythms, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® come together for 45 minutes of joyful family music-making. Your teacher guides families through experiences ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions, with child-friendly instruments and plenty of opportunities to sing, move, play, and connect together. It’s so much fun, you may not even notice how much growth and musical exploration are happening along the way.
Families also receive the award-winning music used in the program, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources to enjoy at home. As you weave music into everyday life throughout the week, you’ll be nurturing your child’s musical growth and overall development—even if you don’t think of yourself as a singer or dancer.

Why mixed ages?
Child development researchers have found that grouping children of different ages together encourages natural, family-style learning, which is why Music Together® developed the Mixed-Age format. In these gatherings, everyone participates in their own way: babies vocalize, listen, and observe; toddlers explore and experiment; and preschoolers grow in confidence as they begin to take on leadership in the circle. Grownups love that the whole family can gather together in one musical community.
“My husband teases me because whenever I mention Music Together to anyone, he always pipes up my next line which is 'best money we ever spent.' I truly mean it.” —Kim, Music Together parent
